I am so excited to meet you and your family. Kind Ma MD combines many of my passions- being a pediatrician and IBCLC, being a mom, and spreading kindness! I’ve been brainstorming ways to make a bigger impact, and I hope that this will be one of ways I can fill a greatly needed gap for all of you.
When I had my first son, I realized there is so much medical school and residency did not teach me. I worried about so many things in the middle of the night! I was blown away by how much misinformation is on the internet and was so grateful for what I already knew. This pushed me towards finding my own path in being a kinder mom. I don’t know everything! In fact, I learn something new every day. I strive to always admit to not knowing–I am willing to find out for you, rather than give wrong information.
With welcoming a second son into our mix, I realized my idea of kindness needed an additional dimension; kindness to my self. This adventure is so much less joyful when we criticize and belittle ourselves and each other.
I welcome anyone who wants to learn about my journey parenting or general pediatric concerns. Thank you for the opportunity to share my insights with you!
With kindness,
Dr. Insiyah
